Oncology Fellow receives study grant for Prime Bank Africa

One of our Oncology fellows Dr. Douglass Nyandika receives a tuition grant of close to 5000 USD from Prime Bank Africa. This will enable him pursue his 2 year medical oncology fellowship program to completion. After graduating he will add to the growing number of medical oncologists in the country. Program has so far graduated 8 medical oncologist. All of the are now working in top institutions in the country and beyond like Kenyatta National Hospital, University of Nairobi, KUTRRH, Kenyatta University, Aga khan University Medical College East Africa and South Africa 

 

DR ANDREW ATTENDS WORLD CONGRESS ON GASTROINTESTINAL CANCER 2022

In keeping with his specialization and interest  Dr. Andrew had a chance to attend the WCGIC 2022 in Barcelona , Spain for the 2nd time. He has returned with the latest knowledge on GI cancers hoping to improve the care of fellow Kenyans and Africans. He was the only delegate from an African Country to attend this prestigious meeting in 2022 in person.

MMED INTERNAL MEDICINE EXAMS FEBRUARY 2022

This year we had exit exams for physicians in training. We had the honour of having Dr. Chakaya Muhwa - Physician & Pulmonologist as the external examiner this year for the first time. He was please with our performance and the process culminated with a cake cutting ceremony at the department boardroom
