PROF E. OGOLA AWARDED PRESTIGIOUS FELLOW OF THE EUROPEAN SOCIETY OF CARDIOLOGY

Prof Ogola who is the President of PASCAR (Pan African Society of Cardiologists) was awarded the Fellow Of European Society of Cardiologist title during the years recently concluded European Society of Cardiology Congress in Amsterdam, Netherlands 2023. The title "Fellow of the European Society of Cardiology (FESC)" serves as a distinguished honor, bestowed upon healthcare experts who have made noteworthy contributions to the field of cardiology.

RETIRED BUT NOT TIRED: PROF OGUTU ENROLS FOR ENDOLUMINAL SURGERY COURSE

Professor Elly Ogutu, who is a consultant physician and gastroenterologist, recently retired from the University of Nairobi, Faculty. Of Health Sciences. He is retired but not tired. He recently enrolled for a course on endoluminal surgery, which will be a game changer for management of early gastrointestinal malignancies

DR EMMA KARARI DISCUSSES MENTAL HEALTH & HEART DISEASE AT THE RECENTLY CONCLUDED KENYA CARDIAC SOCIETY CONGRESS 2023

Dr. Emma Karari is a Consultant Physician in cardiologist as  well as a faculty member of the Department of Medicine and she had the honours  of discussing mental health and cardiac disease at the recently concluded Kenya Cardiac Society. Congress in Mombasa. She shared some great insights and generated a vibrant discussion during the plenary session

DR ANDREW AT THE WORLD CONGRESS ON GASTROINTESTINAL CANCERS 2023

Dr. Andrew Odhiambo is our current Unit head of Medical Oncology and is specialised in Gastro-Intestinal Cancers. In 2023 he attended the World Congress of GI Cancer in Barcelona Spain for the 4th time now. It is indeed a platform for networking and learning cutting edge new technology on home to manage Gi Cancers. He has gathered a lot of knowledge on this subject and will impact in the care of our local patients. 

POST GRADUATE RESEARCH WORKSHOP 2023

This year, we successfully concluded our annual postgraduate Research Workshop last week. The workshop spanned over 2 1/2 days and provided an invaluable opportunity for our Part 2 residents to develop their research proposals. This event has proven to be instrumental in reducing the time students spend in the program, enhancing their research skills, and fostering a culture of scholarly inquiry.
