In keeping with his specialization and interest Dr. Andrew had a chance to attend the WCGIC 2022 in Barcelona , Spain for the 2nd time. He has returned with the latest knowledge on GI cancers hoping to improve the care of fellow Kenyans and Africans. He was the only delegate from an African Country to attend this prestigious meeting in 2022 in person.

In a recent analysis, University of Nairobi emerged as the Leader in World Scientists. Professor Seth McLigeyo, Mark Joshi & Elijah Ogola were listed among Top 1000 Scientists ion Kenya among other Faculty of Health of Sciences members.

This year we had exit exams for physicians in training. We had the honour of having Dr. Chakaya Muhwa - Physician & Pulmonologist as the external examiner this year for the first time. He was please with our performance and the process culminated with a cake cutting ceremony at the department boardroom
